Sunday School

Children:
Preschool Age:  We have childcare for infants, a toddlers and two year-old class, a three and four year-old class and a five year-old class.  Children meet in their classrooms for Bible lessons and activities at 9:30am.  At 9:45am, all preschool children gather in Room 109 for music.

Elementary Age:  Children in grades one and two gather in Room 211 and grades three, four, and five gather in Room 213.  We use a modified version of the Sunday School Rotation system.  Children study the same Bible story for a month.  The story is presented using a different experience each week such as cooking/mission, art, science, games/drama, or movie.  Teaching teams teach for one Sunday per month.

Youth:
Youth gather in Room 224 for announcements and a time of fellowship; middle schoolers move to Room 230 for Bible study.

Adults:
Adult classes offer a variety of ways to study the Bible - discussion, study guides on books of the Bibles or topics, videos, speakers, specific issues of the Christian life (Apostles Creed, forgiveness, etc.).

YOUNG ADULT CLASS: (Room 203)  Ages 18+.  We study biblical applications to develop life skills in order to respond to issues such as fear, stress, anger, and suffering.

TIMOTHY CLASS:  (Room 232)  Ages 25+, singles, couples, and couples with children.  Lessons include studies on the Bible and topics on the cutting edge of faith, life, and social applications.  Current study topics are United Methodism and other religions.  Missions include Under His Wings, Calvary Children's Home, Anderson Pregnancy Care Clinic, and others.

COVENANT CLASS: (Room 205)  Ages 35+ couples and singles.  Lessons include Bible study with lecture and discussion on biblical and social issues.  We are currently discussing "The Shack".  We enjoy fellowship, sharing, and local mission work projects.

HIS DISCIPLES: (Room 204)  Ages 35+ couples and singles.  We are currently studying the book of Philippians and next will study Adam Hamilton's "Christianity's Family Tree" - what other Christians believe and why.  We study the Bible, biblical topics, and current issues that affect spiritual growth in today's world.  Missions include Samaritan's Purse Shoebox Ministry, Trinity's Emergency Food Pantry, Anderson Interfaith Ministry, and others.

HOPE CLASS: (Room 114)  Ages 40+ couples and singles.  We have studies from the Bible on prayer, salvation, Jesus' teachings and topics with discussion and lecture.  Currently we are studying Max Lucado's "Applause of Heaven" on the beatitudes.  Missions include Good Neighbor Cupboard, Brookside Nursing Center, Calvary Children's Home and others.

KOINONIA CLASS:  (Room 208)  Ages 45+ couples and singles.  We study biblical and topical material with discussion, lecture, and debate.  Koinonia means "special fellowship of sharing each other's burdens and caring for each other's needs"; we try to live up to that name.  Missions include Soup Kitchen, missionaries Zack and Michelle Heard and various local charities.  Socials are held monthly for fun, food, and fellowship.

COKESBURY CLASS:  (Room 206)  Ages 60+ couples and singles.  We seek through Bible study to better understand God's Word.  We strive to spread God's love through our support of local and global missions.  We use the International Bible Study Series with lecture and discussion and meet monthly for a meal and fellowship.  We invite our visitors and new members to join us as we seek the will of God in our lives.
