Pumpkin Patch
In 2009, each of the three charities listed below received $3,558.00 for their ministry needs.
PURPOSE: Our purpose is to raise funds for mission. Every penny raised is distributed among several charities each year. In 2009, the funds raised were given to:
Family Promise - a ministry for the homeless
Under His Wings - a Christian discipleship treatment center of the Haven of Rest for women with life-controlling addictions
DCEC - Developmental Center for Exceptional Children - a center for pre-school children with special needs
CHARITIES FOR 2010: The congregation will soon determine the charities who will be the recipients of the funds for 2010. Visit the website page in September for more information on this.
ADMISSION: There is NO CHARGE NOR PURCHASE REQUIRED to enter the patch! Come and play or bring your own camera and take family portraits in the patch for free.
DATES: October 6 (open at 6:30 pm) through October 31st.
HOURS: Daily 10 am to 8 pm except Sundays (12 pm to 8 pm).
October 6th we'll open at 6:30 pm.
FIELD TRIP OPPORTUNITIES: October 11th-15th Field trip experiences are available to school classes. These include storytelling, pumpkin carving, activities, photo-shoot area, hay pile, snack, and gift bag with goodies for $5.00 per child.
FREE PORTRAITS: Bring YOUR OWN camera and take family portraits in the patch for free.
